OVERVIEW:
The farmhouse is situated in one of the most beautiful valleys and countrysides
of Tuscany, the "Val
d'Orcia", near the beautiful medieval village of Monticchiello
with a panoramic view of Pienza
which is only a few kilometers away. UNESCO has declared Val d'Orcia a
World Heritage site.
The scenery surrounding the farm, the colours, the sculpted landscape, the closeness to towns rich in art and history make it a charming and pleasant place to stay. The ancient farmhouse, restored while maintaining the authentic tuscan stones and rustic feel of the old rooms, is composed of large apartments with the use of a kitchen and is surrounded by an ambience in which nature is its own master. The charming atmosphere and hospitality is the highlight that Luchino Grappi and his wife Palma provide for their Agriturismos while preserving the rich farming traditions of Tuscany. It is surrounded by a vineyard, an olive grove and vast wheat fields which the Grappi family cultivate to make organic wine, olive oil and pasta for their guests.
The village of Monticchiello is famous for its distinctive 'Poor Theatre' (Teatro Povero) produced and performed annually by the inhabitants of the village, and by the Grappi Family.
Lamino means good homemade cooking, tranquility, culture and breathtaking countryside for a weekend or holiday. It will be an unforgettable experience.
APARTMENTS:
This small farmhouse is next to Lamone, nestled between an olive grove
and a vineyard. It is divided in 2 large apartments each with their own
private entrance. There is also a large garden for relaxing and watching
stunning sunsets over the countryside.

HOW TO REACH US: view

FROM NORTH: Valdichiana exit of the A1 motorway Firenze-Roma
in direction of Roma, continue towards Bettolle-Torrita di Siena-Pienza
go toward Monte Amiata for about 8 km. After Pienza continue for a couple
of kilometers then turn left on a small road in the direction of Monticchiello.
Before reaching Monticchiello, after about 3 km on your left hand side
you will find the Agriturismo Lamone/Lamino.
FROM SOUTH: Arrival from Rome and South, highway A1:
Exit Chiusi-Chianciano of the A1 motorway Firenze-Roma in direction of
Firenze, continue towards Chianciano Terme and from Chianciano follow
the signs for La Foce-San Quirico. After Chianciano you will arrive at
a crossroad where you continue straight towards Pienza for another 2 km
then turn right toward Monticchiello, climb up for about 3km and on your
left hand side you will find the Agriturismo Lamone/Lamino before reaching
Monticchiello.

POOL:
The pool is currently under construction and scheduled to open in the
summer of 2007.

Groups allowed, spacious parking. In San Quirico D'Orcia, only 6 km from
the estate, there are banks, chemists, supermarkets, a post office and
